well,i decided to make an AU.
I don't know how, but this concept for an Undertale AU was never touched before, although it seems like one of the more obvious ones.

And, I actually came up with some minor changes in the plot, to cover up the plot holes possibly caused by the monsters being different species. For example, since Alphys is a robot, instead of "creating" Mettaton like in the original, a ghost Alphys instead tries to make a well functioning robot, so it would be possible to attach a camera to it and observe the surface, which could actually give monsters an advantage in figuring out time and place to attack the humans, if it came down to it. But while testing out the functionality of the robot, Alphys accidentally fuses with the body. And Mettaton, instead of having his body manufactured by Alphys, is somewhat of a cyborg (robotic parts added to him by Alphys, of course), which felt like his looks were not fit for trying to become a celebrity, before the "adjustments". Mettaton EX just has even more robotic accessories.

Some other characters that I did decide on the appearance of but did not draw are:

- Asgore, which in the AU literally looks almost exactly like Toriel, but a slightly different color and wearing different clothes.
- Monster Kid, who is a ghost in this AU.
- Napstablook, which is a fish person, just like Mettaton is in this AU, but with more of a light-blue tone to their skin, wearing a white hoodie with cut out space for their gills, and pale, almost white hair.
- Froggits, which have the appearance of Woshuas (don't ask).

Frisk, Flowey, and Chara remain unchanged, because they are not monsters.
