THIS. TOOK. SO. DANG. LONG!

Yeah this was what I was preoccupied on doing instead of bringing more art at the truckload. Sorry folks.

I started sketching this out on Thursday and often stayed up late since then trying to get the sketch part done which by Friday on a late evening the sketch part was done. Why did it take that long? Well fun fact about your friendly neighborhood potato, I have no idea how to draw humans right. Why else do I usually do busts or not show arms? I had to use several references to figure out how poses work and I'm sure even though it's done there is still things I messed up on but I refuse to fix I need a day off man!

(clears throat) Sorry for that tangent but I drew this as fifty percent ship art of my idea of Fifth phase Marie (being late thirties and long hair....wow such original very creative...mainly because after the last time I drew Marie with a braid I couldn't recreate it a second time whoops) but also fifty percent pose practice because I wanted to try making the way I draw characters less stiff. I like to think I succeeded. I also did try to recreate 2-D's outfit from the Humility music video and while I do have the thought of "oh dear god I might have messed up the shorts because that does not look right or comfortable"....again I like to think I succeeded. I only didn't draw the headphones since I am not good at drawing them and when I do, they end up looking like earmuffs.

Basically the tl;dr - Did a mishmash of pose practice and ship art, lots of gold stars for effort, best looking 2-D I ever drawn and colored (holy feck I almost never use the right shade of blue for his fecking hair and everything else just works), and I'm proud of how this turned out.

The only thing I own is Marie. I do not own 2-D as a character nor do I own Gorillaz. All rights go to the respective owners.

Also title idea was by my friend The Artist Entertainer because I am fecking useless when it comes to titles so credit goes to her for that!
