I used the Dry Bones sprite from Super Mario World and a piece of the castle flooring from the castle levels as the stand.

If you're wondering what that row of clear beads is for below his shoe, it's to allow him to snap into place in the opening of the stand without causing any of his shoe to look like it is disappearing into the floor!
