Background: Maddison Reyes was conceived and born on an Overwatch base by complete accident. Despite this, Dr. Finch and Gabriel Reyes took to parenting really well. Able to balance work life with Maddison's personal/school life like no one ever saw. And everyone else thought the growing baby girl was a nice way to lift the mood every day. Alas, things couldn't stay so positive all the time. As things grew more tense within the organization and the relationship with her husband was beginning to strain, Bonita thought it'd be best if Maddison live off base for her own sake. This idea saddened a lot of people, no more so than Gabriel and of course Maddison herself. She was just becoming a teenager, almost 13 when the decision was made. She left Overwatch and her parents behind to live with her maternal grandparents. Maddison never did see Gabriel in person again after leaving Overwatch and seeing each other in person was always being rescheduled due to complications, however Maddison called Bonita every morning and video chatted with Gabriel every night. She made sure to keep them updated on her school work, her social circle, and whatever else was new.
Tragedy struck hard though, as the last few video chats with Gabriel were cut shorter and shorter. 3 years afterward she initially left the Overwatch Swiss base was completely destroyed in a huge explosion. Taking many lives, including the strike commander Jack Morrison and Gabriel Reyes. Maddison and Bonita were both crushed by this. She moved back in with her mother until she left for collage. While she was in collage, Maddison took an interest of a career in the military. As a way to honor her father, she thought it'd be best to follow in not only his footsteps, but her mother's as well to strive to help people. She became a military mechanic at first and she had prior experience as a mechanical engineer. Once the second omnic crisis emerged, people were desperate to get soldiers on the front lines. Maddison volunteered and immediately began training to become a fighter pilot. She took to the skies to fight the larger omnics head on in her own fighter jet, affectionally called The Imperial Jay. Maddison proved to be one hell of a flyer, earning her the codename Jay Bird. She worked her way up the ranks as the war grew. During a seemly standard aerial strike, she took action when she over heard the possibility of civilians being trapped. A major fight with the omnics caused Maddison to crash her jet, a terrible fiery accident that resulted in her losing her right hand. Despite this, Maddison fought the pain and excessive bleeding and went on to save a group of civilians and a couple wounded ground soldiers. This act of bravery led to Maddison being named Wing Commander, with her own team to lead in battle. She also got a cool robot hand.

Extras: On top of losing a hand in her accident, Maddison is also completely deaf in her left ear. She uses a specialty ear piece to hear exceptionally as is but it also comes with a detachable functioning camera and microphone able to document whatever she needs.
