thank you...i just...yeah know, people keep telling me i am getting better at my drawings...but i am not seeing it what so ever...i mean i look at other peoples stuff(like yours) and i just do not feel it...i just keep working at it and working at it, and just do not see it...i have alot of drawings i have not posted because i feel they look like crap...plus add to that my coloring skills are major crappiness...i do not know...

First, copy somebody elses' work, like practicing drawing for yourself. That can help a lot. Maybe place your paper up on a picture and draw it.

but i would rather not do that...i know it is odd, my logic, but i would rather try to improve my skills based on my trial and error...again i am odd...

oh i know...i do not need to do what you stated in your post...its just...i do not know...my main problem right now is lighting and shadow...and the coloring....

just think about how the shadows will meet the figure, if bg, think about the shadows there too. that's what i do.
