Description
I ran a year and a half long Warhammer 40'000 campaign where the players developed unique characters which we decided to immortalise with character portraits.

Leader of the Rogue Trader crew, Mathias saw the group travel far for a distant cluster of untamed stars, where he delved in deep to conquer, claim, and re-introduce the Imperium of Man to the locals. His method of being a straight shooter to many other nobles landed him many enemies, but it also gathered him strong loyal allies. He would dance the political scene the best he could, often finding that the more honest military and naval officers he met to be more 'honest' people than the two-faced politicians he had to deal with on the daily.

Ambitious and wishing to carve his family name into the history books. Mathias assembled a crew who allowed him to travel to a place long forgotten by the Imperium, and to bring back planets which were believed lost. His actions often gave him a great deal of grace to the higher Imperial authorities as his interests could sing in many directions (which did prompt the Administratum to investigate his business).

Towards the end, Mathias found himself embroiled in a large scale conflict, one where profit became a secondary objective.
