Description
The only independent Dutch colony, the Dutch East India Company, is working to reclaim their country and expand their empire. However, their experiments with portals to other worlds have resulted in disaster. The company summoned a dark entity known as The Corrupter, who entered the world through a portal to the Inferno, a hellish dimension rich in energy sources for building machines and weapons. The Dutch colonies in the Inferno soon became plagued by a strange illness that caused the colonists' flesh to wither away. The sick colonists turned into zombie-like creatures, which merged with each other to form the massive, hive-minded entity known as the Corrupter. The Corrupter broke through the portal and destroyed the Netherlands, marking the end of the country's last remnants.
