Right? Like I'm all for people having fun with fandoms, but they should still maintain at least some semblance of canon in regards to personality....
And you're welcome <3 You did a really good job of interpreting their avatars. That's probably the most accurate Masada I've ever seen -- I'd actually seen fanart of him before playing the game, so I was expecting some lazy-eyed bishounen...and then I met him in-game and was like, wow fandom.
And you're right, I never noticed his fingers before. Considering his piano is the only company he has, his being too deformed to play is just too sad to think about. ;___;

I had the same reaction to Masada, I kind of expected this [link] a lot of things get so exaggerated by the fandom, they almost let you down when you get to play.

But yeah, beautify-ing is something that every fandom does I guess. I once saw moe versions of even Takofuusen and Blood Bucket, and I just had to laugh they were so absurdly cute. Though one thing I could really do without is the hentai. I know it's in every fandom, but god Madotsuki went through enough in-game already D:

I have no Bias aginst both of yours and the other person o_o The games had been interpretted differently, All I know is She had strange Dream/Nightmares, was scarred (Like Back in Real life of misfortunate events), and jumped off a building. In My eyes, I dunno how to interpret them, Just as figures taht are distorted in her dreams o-O' I like that Pushing off thing and the creepy grin, For some reason I find it cool xD ANd you're a good artist =]

This has to be the most beautiful and stunning " yume nikki " art i have come across. You could not of interpreted the situation any better, your meaning is strong and meaningful. The artwork itself is simply astounding, i love your style. I love the coloring and effects done for the last panel, amazing !!

I think it's certainly one of my favourite drawings so far.
But I'm not particularly pleased with my artwork so to say, I might try to remake this in the future, when I'll have more experience with coloring ...or well everything.

To be honest, I donΒ΄t whole heartedly agree with you. Things can be interpreted in many ways (while I do agree that her dreams are horrifying.) But I still find this artwork just stunning. *__* I love the expressions of the characters and I really like the last panel, itΒ΄s really well done.
I actually do like the art that this is response to, but yours is more truthful and less sugary by a ton.

Perfect in my opinion!
Yume Nikki is a sad story of one girl's descent into her dreams, in the attempt to conquer her fears (maybe of her past, maybe not. it doesn't particularly matter). This attempt fails dramatically due to the nightmares she can no longer escape.. No amount of sugar coating it will make this any less true.
Your drawing is far more true and straight to the point than any other fanart I've seen. Bravo<3

Well, I do in some way, it's kind of refreshing in contrast to the game.
He's the character who appears to be the most frightened of Madotsuki, or the most eager to there when she calls. So yeah, if someone got to be the "waifu" it would be him.
If he's even male.
What I can't do though is draw him as a bishie.
