Description
Based on a background in the MS-DOS version of Turrican II. A number of YouTubers have started compiling their episodic content into singular videos (even calling them seasons, which feels rather quaint, in a good way) and I just watched one from Scarfulhu. He normally reviews point-and-click adventure games, but he also reviews the odd shooter or platformer. Turrican II was also released on the Amiga and those games always tended to have a distinct look, including some very beautiful backdrops that almost always have gradients. As some of you may know, I love a good gradient and wanted to try something in Picsart's Color app using their pre-made gradient backgrounds. Unfortunately, for as pretty as they are, they don't scale very well and their compression artifacts reveal this lack of optimization for any screen bigger than an iPhone SE.
Maybe I'll remake it in MSPaint and do a side-by-side.
