Description more concept art for my webcomic cog

the people of the swamp live in hives (people are not always exactly human beings) and these lizards are commonly used as their mounts. it's dark there around the clock because the sky is obscured by thick smog-smoke. the lizards find their way through the murkiness by rolling their sticky mucus-covered tails in luminous seed pods found on the swamp floor and carrying them along as makeshift lanterns.

in addition, as a defense mechanism, the lizards have several sets of eyes. only one of these sets actually functions, and it's impossible to tell which. the eyes are the only vulnerable spot on the creature, so the false ones serve to protect the real ones; no harm is done if any of the false eyes are damaged.

this lizard is in the process of gathering seed pods.

Interesting and well thought. Oh and I liked the picture, I really like your shading and your colourwork, It's remarkable. And the creature itself is fascinating and you did a hell of a good work illustrating it.
