Description
my latest work, after a long time ..using photoshop cs 3, it took almost two months to complete.
i've been very lazy in between ...
Although i could have pushed the details even more, i had to decide when to stop.
color and flow were very important, not to mention, my first work on a white background, something a little tricky to work on, especially when it comes to overall illumination.
artwork dimensions : 6000 x 6000
tools used : pen tool, smudge, color dodge, color burn, hard and soft edged brush.

on a more personal note, i got stuck a few times about the look and feel... which is why 'music' played a key role in elevating the artwork to where it is now...
hearing this song really influenced the way i painted ..
i'm thankful ....
the song name 'Jiya Jale' which means 'Let life burn'

from the indian movie 'dil se' which means 'from the heart'

This is fantastic! The lighting and coloring tie in greatly with the overall feel of the picture! It also has a great pick-me-up feel to it.
One thing though, and I know it may seem unwelcome with something you've been working hard on for quite a while and I know I’m not the best artist in the world, but hear me out;
The one issue I have with this is the foreshortening of the mouth and eyes. It just feels that the right part of the upper lip is way too small for that angle. It’s like the left part of the lip is fighting to be dominant and sucking all the lip filling out of the right side.
When it comes to the right eye, it seems as though at that angle, you'll see the eye lashes of the upper and lower lids still being able to intersect with each other. the lids should also still look like they are curving towards each other more prominently to form the outer corner of the eye which should also be showing. The inside of the lids between the eyeball and the lashes should also be more fleshed out.
I hope this helps. It’s still a great piece.
