The four types of brake vans used by Tri-ang Railways (TR) as of 2023.-Midland Railway Diagram 1659 20Ton (Most numerous type until the 1960s. Began being replaced by LNER/BR Standard brake vans. Now used in limited duties with two vehicles officially preserved. Ten vehicles still in revenue service)
-Midland Railway Diagram 451(?) 20Ton (2nd most numerous type until the 1950s. Began being replaced by LBSCR 20Ton brake vans bought second-hand. Now used in limited duties with one vehicle officially preserved. Two vehicles still in revenue service)
-LNER/BR Standard 20Ton (Most numerous type since the 1960s and built under licence from BR. Replaced Midland Railway Diagram 1629 brake vans on main duties. 67 built and in revenue service with reports of 13 still being built)
-LBSCR 20ton (2nd most numerous type since the 1950s and bought second-hand from BR Southern Region. Replaced Midland Railway 20Ton Diagram 451(?) brake vans on main duties. 42 vehicles in revenue service)
