Description
Deck 4 -- the same location as deck 5 on the TMP Enterprise -- where the cellular farming labs are next to the forward phasers. These labs uses genetically modified yeast to grow non-GMO foods including meat and fish, egg whites and skim milk.
The bio-reactors on either side are used to grow algae, kelp and seaweed for the food synthesizers. But apparently algae produces sugars that the yeast can feast off of, and there is probably a Star Trek gizmo that can extract the sugars from the algae to feed the cellular farmed foods, while the remains of the algae, kelp and seaweed can be go into a bio-matter resequencer which are broken down into hydrocarbons, proteins and other organic molecules which are used to 3D print foods in the food synthesizers.

The organic "ink" are placed in those food cards we see the TOS crew put into the food synthesizers which are colour coded for specific types of foods.

AKA, not a food replicator that uses transporter technology.

By the way, food wastes are also used in bio-matter resequencers for the aeroponic gardens, so not making an apple from your own shit like in 32nd century food replicators.

This means I'm going to have to put a bio-matter resequencer in the bio-reactor sections for the printer ink.
Hopefully I can get my computer to cooperate with using AutoCAD as these updates are making things harder, and I don't have $4000 ever 3 years to maintain this hobby.
But then again, I'm either going to get a new computer, or upgrade this one with newer RAM chips.
