Description

Similar to Outpost Baker 2-7, but redid the core a little, and did some adjustments to the saucers. Basically the central core is smaller and not enough room for the large hydroponic orchards, and so added astrometric sensors were added for the sake of adding greebles.

The saucers are 25m closer in than the previous ones, and the other parts are 10.9m higher and lower to the centre of the station. But everything else is pretty much the same including the shuttle bays that each can just store an Archer class starship.

The term Deep Space Outpost R-5 is of course based on the name Deep Space Station K-7. But K-7 is where the classic bar fight occurs.

As I found that our family that helped us get here are in trouble, and once again repurposing the donation pool. Their E.I. and medical E.I. have been exhausted, but they still have their old age pension. But it's so tight, they have to rely upon the food bank to keep them fed. They could get disability benefits next year, but it's this year that's the problem in the wake of 2020.

In Star Trek, there wouldn't be need of a food bank and all of their needs ranging from basic housing, utilities and basic internet would also be provided.

And there's my sister who is dealing with a landlord in Alberta who is allowed to break numerous laws, and right now provincial borders are under lock down. If there were a Federation, then this landlord would be facing jail and my sister and her husband -- whom are in their 50's -- wouldn't have to worry about crooked landlords as they would be taken to a safe place while maintaining their livelihood. She had set up a GoFundMe campaign, but she shut it down because she hadn't gotten a single penny.

Too bad I couldn't convert views into dollars as my 1000's submission hit over 10,000 views.
