Answer, 2 telescopes. And here is the evidence to prove it. Notice how the rust is around the screw there doesn't match (green) and there is only one mark on the upper eye piece from the Shenzhen, yet there's 2 in that package for Micheal Burnham.

The one that Micheal got was the family heirloom, the one Captain Georgiou had on the Shenzhen was probably from a thrift store.

It seems as though like the Kelvin timeline, Star Trek: Discovery is the victim NOT of hack writing, but rather hack criticism.
