Firstly: I'm being absolutely serious here.
Secondly: it's struck me immediately, just by looking at the miniature on my DA feed. If I had to describe to my child why dental hygiene is so important - I would show him this painting. You can see here an anthropomorphic toothbrush, armed with toothpaste, fighting poor dental hygiene and (or) bad breath (just look at this gigantic, wide open, nasty mouth!). You can describe the process to your child as a heroic and noble fight he can help with. You can tell this story as a fairytale. You can use yours and his imagination and teach him how to enjoy toothbrushing.
