Description
Lamperouge family villa, 9:00 a.m. After a week of transitions, the Empire of Britannia had ended, freeing the rest of the world from its tyrannical grasp and reverting the country back to England, the United Kingdom. The former members of the Britannian royal family took different surnames, to adapt with the changes.Guinevere: To be honest, I never imagined I’d be the head of sales, for an automobile company, in such a short time.
Carine: No kidding?! I went to school, with my new name, and became class representative!
Odysseus: I’m still looking for my job.
Guinevere: Seriously? It’s been a week.
Odysseus: And, I’m bland, I admit that.
Guinevere: At least we get to live here. It, uh...feels nice, being normal.
Carine: Where’s Lelouch?
Guinevere: Last I checked? Raiding the Emperor of Ego’s closet.
Villa garden, Lelouch was wearing a white royal outfit that he took from his former father’s wardrobe, looking at the lake with Suzaku.
Lelouch: What do you think of this outfit?
Suzaku: It’s ridiculous, but it suits you.
Lelouch: Why, thank you, my dear knightly friend. I stole it, after all.
Suzaku: (chuckles) Good. Things are getting better, but there’s no sign of Hawking.
Lelouch: He’s plotting something. He’s rotten to the core, but he’s crafty. He put America in a fake apocalypse and sealed it off from the rest of the world, after all.
Suzaku: And, Alistair had to fight the results of that, for years, yet we can just scratch the surface.
Lelouch nodded in agreement, as he looked behind him and saw Zero, at the top of the stone steps.
Lelouch: You know, you’re much more stealthy in that costume, than I am. You should be lucky that nobody looked down to notice your shoes were actually combat boots.
Zero took off his mask, revealing himself to be Alistair.
Alistair: Well, I’m a man of plenty of surprises, while you’re one of many.
Lelouch: I could say the same of you, Son of Liberty.
Alistair: Your getting modest, Miracle Maker. Is it the forge that’s more comfortable? Or, is it the Knight of Zero, standing beside you?
Lelouch: Columns A and B, both.
Alistair: Damn, does it feel good to talk to you! (high-fives Lelouch and Suzaku)
Suzaku: How’s Japan holding up?
Alistair: A lot better, now that Charles is gone. Nobility has gotten to less than five percent, and the repairs to the ghettos are nearly done.
Lelouch: I take it Nunnally’s with you?
Alistair: She went to the villa, to check on the others. If need be, she’s got the Yatagarasu on speed dial.
Suzaku: Yeah, that is a damn fast ship. Can’t believe it used to be the Blackbird.
Alistair: Neither can I, but its transition worked out.
Lloyd: Guys!
Lloyd approached the group, on a horse, with a panicked look on his face.
Lelouch: What’s wrong, Lloyd?
Lloyd: We’ve got trouble. The Knight of One is on his way, here, with an army.
Alistair: Wait, I thought he died?
Suzaku: No, he’s about as tenacious as Zanzibar.
Lelouch: He must have a lot of loyalty to my former parents.
Alistair: Lloyd, are the upgrades complete?
Lloyd: The Albion is done, and the Masakado is fully complete.
Lelouch: It wasn’t, before?
Lloyd: New data, and suiting to the pilot’s style.
Suzaku: Let’s do this.
Ashford Academy, Nina’s room. Nina was working on her computer, as Shirley entered.
Shirley: Hey, Nina! You doing alright?
Nina: Hm? Oh, yeah, just looking through all my insane notes.
Shirley: Not going into the basement, again?
Nina: ...No. I prefer carpeted stairs, now and forever.
Shirley: That’s good. You...check Milly’s segments, on TV?
Nina: (smirks, shakes remote in her hand) The moment they come on.
Shirley: You’re definitely doing better.
Nina: Thank you very much. Now, for the news. (turns on TV)
Reporter: This just in! Remnants of the Britannian Empire are on their way to invade the newly restored England!
Shirley: Lelouch and Suzaku are over there!
Nina: They better not have any more F.L.E.I.J.A.s…
On the way to the capital of the newly reformed United Kingdom, the Galahad flew across the sky, with a personal army of Sutherlands, Gloucesters, Gareths and Vincents, alongside the Florence, piloted by Monica Krushevsky, and the Palomides, piloted by Dorothea Ernst.
Bismarck: To think that a country as mighty as Britannia would fall to such lowlives…! We must persevere, for the glory of the Empire! Without Britannia, the world will fall to ruin! All forces, attack the capital, at once!
A group of Sutherlands and Gloucesters charged toward the city, but a streak of green light dashed through them, and they were destroyed. Flying in the air with energy wings akin to the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N.’s was the Lancelot Albion, the latest transformation of Suzaku Kururugi’s Knightmare.
Bismarck: So, you’ve come, Suzaku Kururugi.
Suzaku: I got here, first, because this thing is so fast. Not as fast as the Guren currently is, but I think you get the point.
Bismarck: Alone, though? You’re as foolhardy as before, even before betraying us.
Suzaku: That’s because an asshole AI took control of my body.
Bismarck: A meaningless excuse.
Suzaku: What the hell is wrong with you? You’re not all that...mellow, right now.
Bismarck: Take a guess as to the reason.
The Masakado, Tristan, Mordred, Vincent Alpha and another copy of the Lancelot, the Lancelot Club, entered the fray, flying next to the Albion, the Masakado equipped with its Grudge Armor.
Bismarck: Even more traitors, in the Rounds! And, you…
Alistair: ‘Sup?
Gino: Sorry, but you aren’t getting to the capital.
Alpha: The world has to change, for the better, Knight of One!
Bismarck: Spare me your opinions. Squire Reginald, deal with the Masakado, one-on-one.
Reginald: Yes, sir!
A royal guard commander Vincent flew out of formation, holding a shield and an MVS, posing like a knight.
Reginald: I hereby challenge you to a duel, Alistair Wake! For the glory of our fallen Emperor!
Alistair: I bet I can beat you, in one shot.
The Masakado drew its latest weapon, a revolver that was made from VARIS technology, much like the Albion’s new VARIS SMGs, the VARIS Sequoia.
Reginald: (pauses, guffaws) You can’t be serious? Your jape is admittedly laughable! Draw your sword, terrorist! Did you really think some peashooter would scare me-?
The Masakado immediately fired the Sequoia, the VARIS shot piercing through the cockpit of the Vincent, killing the pilot and destroying the Knightmare.
Alistair: Yes, actually.
Bismarck: Pragmatic fool! Have you no honor!?
Alistair: People fight as they see fit. Rules tend to not apply, outside of combat sports.
Bismarck: (growls angrily) Dorothea, Monica! Dispose of him, at once!
Alistair: Better idea. (Geass activates) Monica, Dorothea, would you like to join the Tokyo Mavericks, and earn a genuine living?
Dorothea Ernst: That… That doesn’t matter!
Monica Krushevsky: We pledged our loyalties to Britannia, and we aim to see those loyalties through!
Alistair: Despite the fact that it would paint you as the villains? Did Charles even care about you or your pasts?
Dorothea: ...So what if he didn’t?
Monica: You would just judge us, for being Britannian.
Alistair: Despite the fact that I’ve had Britannians among my group, the whole time? The choice is yours, girls.
Bismarck: Don’t listen to his lies! His Geass allows him to corrupt and corrode other people’s minds!
Monica: It’s not even that. His words are just so...heavy.
Dorothea: What have I done…? What have we done? We just took, from innocent people.
Monica: I let my father’s death dictate my actions, create more war…
Dorothea and Monica: (pauses, in unison) We accept your offer.
The Florence and Palomides joined the Tokyo Mavericks, attacking the Knightmares in the back of the army.
Monica: We’ll deal with the back, though you might get stragglers!
Dorothea: Good luck, everyone!
Alistair: Same, to you!
Suzaku: Thanks for getting those two, on our side. They’re really nice.
Alistair: Hey, I don’t like killing girls as much as the next guy, don’t get me wrong. You’ve been pretty quiet, Bismarck.
Bismarck: Fine. If I’m the only sensible one, here, then it all depends on me. All forces, attack!
The Britannian Knightmares went to charge towards the capital city, and the Lancelot Club charged back, countering with its Gloucester lance and piercing through several enemies, while the Vincent Alpha primed its new weapons, Tesla blades in the elbows, the sides of its knees and its heels.
Alpha: You want a piece of me? Good luck.
While Alpha engaged a fraction of the invading army, along with the Lancelot Club, the Masakado, Tristan and Mordred went to join in, as well, ignoring the Galahad. The Galahad went to charge at the Masakado, but the Lancelot Albion stopped it with its Slash Harken.
Suzaku: Leaving, so soon?
Bismarck: If you want to settle our score, then so be it!
Suzaku: Oh, I get it, you’re still really sore from losing to Zero, aren’t you?
Bismarck: Enough talk!
The Galahad engaged the Lancelot Albion, MVS blades clashing across the sky. The Lancelot Club destroyed some of the other Knightmares that engaged it, found itself surrounded, then suddenly flew farther into the air, at a high speed.
Brittanian Soldier A: What the hell?! Did...it just jump?!
Britannian Soldier B: That’s impossible! We’re already in the air!
Britannian Soldier A: Wait, didn’t the Knight of Nine have the nickname of “Dragoon”?
Britannian Soldier B: ...Oh, Christ-
Just as suddenly as it flew up, the Lancelot Club fell back down, plunging its spear into two Knightmares that were lined up perfectly for such an attack. The Vincent Alpha quickly cut through a large group of Knightmares, with its Tesla Blades, a majority being taken out by a charging backflip attack and the rest cut in two when its two arm-mounted blades combined and were swung once. After the immense attack, Alpha reattached the Tesla Blades to their rightful places.
Alpha: All balls, no brains!
As the Tesla Blades deactivated, all the Knightmares behind the Vincent Alpha exploded at once. The battle kept raging on in the skies, the Britannian Knightmares lowering in numbers by the second. The Lancelot Albion and Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. continued their combined assault on the Galahad, Suzaku and Kallen keeping up with Bismarck, without any problems. The Galahad swung its Excalibur MVS, missing its targets or just barely missing, and got hit by Slash Harkens and MVS slashes. Bismarck grunted in frustration from taking so much damage.
Bismarck: Damn…! These two are aces…!
Kallen: Suzaku, together!
Suzaku: Right!
The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. and Lancelot Albion sped around the Galahad, using the full potential of their energy wings, leaving Bismarck unable to act with his Geass.
Bismarck: I can’t...see their future, their movements! My Geass can’t handle that determination!
The Lancelot slashed away at the Galahad with its MVSs, then used all its Slash Harkens to grapple the Galahad, throwing it toward the Guren, which slashed the Galahad twice with its MVS knife. The Guren then kicked the Galahad away, leaving the Lancelot enough room to give it another big slash, tearing off some armor. Due to the damage it took, the Galahad was stunned for a moment, and the Lancelot gave it a Kururugi Spin Kick, sending it right into the Guren’s Radiant Wave Surger. Bismarck was blinded by the light of the Radiant Wave energy.
Bismarck: Such power…! I never knew such a weapon was so deadly…!
The Lancelot flew far off into the distance, then stopped, having the Galahad in its sights. Once the Guren’s attack was done, the Galahad’s armor was heated, as if on the verge of melting or breaking away. The Lancelot charged at a high speed, Suzaku yelling with effort as both MVSs landed a combined slash on the Galahad, but did not destroy it. The Galahad itself looked like it was on its last legs.
Kallen: How is that thing still standing!?
Suzaku: Leave it to the likes of Hawking to have plenty of upgrades planned. Let’s finish him.
Bismarck: (panting) I’m not here for you… I’m here...for him!
The Galahad pointed its Excalibur MVS at the Masakado, who just cut through a Royal Guard Vincent, and noticed the sword pointed at it.
Alistair: Yo, what’s up?
Bismarck: For the honor of the Britannian Empire, I challenge you, and you alone, Alistair Wake! To the ground, at once!
Alistair: Fine by me. Kallen, Suzaku, handle the rest of the guys in the sky, please.
Kallen: You’ve got this?
Alistair: Damn right.
Suzaku: Right. Let’s go!
As the Guren and Lancelot flew off, the Masakado went to the ground level with the Galahad, a group of engineering Sutherlands going up to the Galahad and repairing its damages.
Bismarck: I’ll admit this much, Wake… The tales I heard about you are true. The way you carry yourself in battle shows that you’ve fought many a soldier in the past, and numbers of enemies vaster than any army Britannia has ever faced. On foot.
Alistair: Good to see you’ve got quite the eye for that sort of detail. I know there’s a catch with the compliment, though.
Bismarck: Perceptive, as well. Despite your feats, there is one glaring detail about such exploits that angers me. That detail being the very death of our glorious Emperor Charles zi Britannia.
Alistair: Way I heard it, you and the Emperor of Ego were practically best friends. Figured you’d be pissed about that and want revenge, but not on a scale like this. An army this big is calling for war, not a duel.
Bismarck: I never mentioned a duel. I wanted you...to be massacred.
Alistair: So forward, and with such a grudge, to boot. What makes it so personal to you, anyway? Britannia’s long gone, and you have no real reason to do this. In fact, it’s almost as if you doubled down on Britannia taking over the world, or something.
Bismarck: (says nothing)
Alistair: ...You did, didn’t you? You doubled down, and you have nothing left, betting it all on Britannia’s success.
Bismarck: Because, I had nothing. Emperor Charles was the closest thing I had to a friend, and Lady Marianne as an equal combatant and rival. Without Britannia...I have nowhere to go. So, now...it’s Britannia’s resurrection, or death!
Alistair: You probably wouldn’t be taken alive, anyway.
Bismarck: No. I wouldn’t. In position, now!
Suddenly an immense army of Britannian Knightmares surrounded the Galahad and Masakado, though from Alistair’s perspective, it was hard to tell if the numbers were in the hundreds or thousands.
Alistair: Let me guess, you made a commission to Charlie Atlas to get all these made?
Bismarck: Correct. Since the Atlas Corporation had the blueprints, they could make the weapons.
Alistair: And, the reason why they’re all aimed at me, specifically?
Bismarck: Simple. This is your execution. Any last words?
As all the Knightmares set their sights on the Masakado, the engineering Knightmares finished their repairs on the Galahad, looking good as new.
Alistair: Nah. I wanna let my friends have some rep, in battle. Let ‘em have it, guys!
Suddenly, a barrage of gunfire, missiles and shrapnel ball bearings hit the surrounding Knightmares, destroying a rather large number of them and making several dents in the formation. Behind the Masakado, several miles away, was an army of Knightmares, led by the Yoshitsune and Zangetsu.
Tohdoh: Now these are the numbers I expected to face, a month ago!
Cornelia: You’re gonna get your wish, soon enough, Tohdoh! All forces, attack those Knightmares and damage the Galahad!
The Burais, Sutherlands, Akatsukis and ace Knightmares spread out, taking on different portions of the horde of Britannian Knightmares, leaving Bismarck in awe.
Bismarck: This can’t be right! That’s impossible!
Alistair: For a moment, you thought you could perfectly see the future with that Geass, then realized you can’t turn it off. Am I right?
Bismarck: Everything I saw, everything I was told, every conceivable plan led me to believe you’d fight, alone!
Alistair: That’s just the thing, Bismarck. In the past, I was forced to fight alone, because I was up against impossible odds. But, now? Everyone else has the right to be badass, through their own efforts.
Bismarck: Damn you…! You think you can spout that, after wiping out an entire society!? Kill Wake, and the battle’s won!
Cornelia: Think again!
The Yoshitsune closed the distance, firing its shotguns into the Galahad, all the shrapnel from the shots hitting their target, then struck with its chainsaw katanas to cause further damage. The Yoshitsune then jumped out of the way, as another wave of ball bearings hit the Galahad and the Knightmares that repaired it, causing the engineer pilots to eject. Though the Galahad received minimal damage from the attacks, the assault was far from over. Rolo’s Vincent and the Vincent Alpha teamed up against the Galahad, using their MVS polearms to repeatedly strike its armor, then used both Needle Blazers in their elbows to deal heavy blows in succession. After the twin assault, the Koga Saburo rushed in, using its thin blades to slash the Galahad in rapid succession, then did the same with the two swords combined into a polearm. After such a speedy assault, the Tenkai tagged in and landed crushing blows onto the Knight of One’s personal Knightmare with its MVS gauntlets, loud impacts ringing out with every punch. With a final haymaker to the Galahad’s face, the Tenkai moved on to let the Omoikane and Michizane attack in unison, slashes from the electrified chainsaw katana and scissor blades confusing Bismarck. Next, the Yamato Takeru charged the Galahad, slashing away with its MVS greatsword, managing to be as strong if not stronger than the Excalibur MVS. The Yamato Takeru’s movements and attacks also showcased Euphemia’s newfound skills in Knightmare combat, as her Knightmare landed one last blow to the Galahad.
Bismarck: Damn…! Almost back down to before the repairs…!
Alistair: Now it’s a fair fight.
Bismarck: Smart aleck!
The Galahad drew its Excalibur MVS, the Masakado drawing its two MVS katanas, and the two Knightmares clashed as the other ace Knightmares moved on. Sparks flew as the MVSs clashed against each other, Bismarck showing his might as the Knight of One, and Alistair showing his skills as a fluid combatant, in general.
Alistair: Ready to quit?
Bismarck: Never! I will never give up on Britannia!
The Galahad parried the Masakado’s attack and slashed its armor with the Excalibur MVS.
Bismarck: You think you’re the best!? You never could be! You could never play God, with this world! There is only one man that could play such a role!
The Galahad kept up the attacks, and sent the Masakado on its back, burning cuts in its armor.
Bismarck: That man was Charles zi Britannia, the man you murdered!
Bismarck panted in the cockpit, having spent his energy on an intense fight. As Knightmares went to back up the Galahad, the Masakado floated back onto its feet.
Alistair: I dunno, Bismarck… (Grudge Armor flies off of the Masakado) Being a god really ain’t my style. I mean, I’m the most heroic, capable person on the planet. I’ve never had any intentions of “playing God”. All my life…(Geass symbols appear in both eyes)...I’ve just been busy being human.
The Galahad ordered the Knightmares to charge, and the Masakado drew its Godslayer MVS, cutting through two Sutherlands, which exploded a few seconds after the slashes. Then, the Masakdo slashed through more Sutherlands, five Gloucesters, and four elite Vincent types, not once taking a single hit. Bismarck was unnerved by these actions, and the Masakado dashed towards the Galahad, which took an immediate defensive stance.
Bismarck: Just like Suzaku, a simple charging attack! You can’t beat me, head-on! Let’s see you try!
Alistair: Zandatsu!
The Masakado then slowed itself down by charging at the Galahad on foot, using its Landspinners to keep a sort of cruise control-like speed, as it sheathed its Godslayer MVS. The Masakado got closer and closer, the tires of the Landspinners squealing on the solid ground. After getting a few feet in front of the Galahad, the Masakado pulled the trigger on its sheathe, launching the Godslayer MVS outward and into its right hand. A flash of light appeared for a brief moment, and the Masakado was behind the Galahad, the force of its attack cutting right through the Excalibur MVS, though the damage had yet to catch up.
Alistair: Lightspeed Slash!
As the Masakado went to sheathe its primary MVS, the Galahad and its MVS were starting to split in half, Bismarck noticing his own death coming, with no means of escape.
Bismarck: (strained) To think I’d be defeated...by the Son of Liberty…
The Knight of One’s personal Knightmare Frame exploded, as the Masakado sheathed its sword, both halves of Excalibur landing planted in the ground next to the Masakado. As a result, the remaining Britannian Knightmares surrendered, only having a reason to fight because of Bismarck’s orders.
Alistair: Whew! That was a long one! Hey, Gino, you want dibs on Bismarck’s sword? You’ll have more melee versatility.
Gino: Yeah, the Tristan needs a bit of an overhaul.
Alistair: And, with the Galahad out of commission… Alpha, you’re getting a new form, with some new weapons, without sacrificing a thing!
Alpha: Oh, hell yeah!
Lelouch: (over radio) Um, Alistair? We’ve got a problem.
Alistair: What’s up?
Lelouch: The moment you killed Bismarck, we got sued. By Atlas, Incorporated.
Alistair: (smirks) Good. Let’s shut them down, for good.
