Entered in the Summer 2010 Temples Contest
The time of year in which we celebrate the birth of our Savior is a special time for Temple Square in SCL. The whole landscape transforms into a majestic location at night time during the Christmas season, and one truly has to experience this in person to appreciate it fully. This image is an attempt to capture part of that majesty. One amazing part of this particular shot is the luck of timing, having no one in the frame that really disrupts the viewers experience, it's really just the viewer and the lights and the temple in this image.

Georgeous shot of the SLC Temple. One day I would love to visit during Christmas season when they have all the lights up. I've only seen pictures during a Christmas fireside but I would love to see it in person.

I've seen this shot many times before, but not so open as yours...usually it's just the temple and trees and pool, but I really like that you also included some of the things to the sides, like the other buildings...and it looks like the lampposts are floating in the water. It's wonderful
