Sorry for the form letter, and lack of a decent comment (now or when I faved it), but I wanted to ensure that you knew I had at one point in time (not recently) chosen your work (here) as a "Thumb" and/or "Written Word of the Moment".
This collection has led to me making a specific journal entry {other than my front page}, "PREVIOUS SPOTLIGHT/THUMBS OF THE MOEMENT " to spotlight all those who I have attempted to give some sort of well deserved (if tiny) credit...

Hmm, reading the previous comments leaves me scratching my head! What I got out of this had nothing to do with love being crushed but more about all of the little things in life that we "overlook", as the subject would imply, and destroy in the process! The fragility of a dying rose really emphasizes the fact that if we continue to overlook the little things, we will simply be left with crushed remains of what was once beautiful!
I could be way off base here! It wouldn't be the first time!

but, it's a dying or dead one,...further emphasizing
the point being made.

ignor, but finally couldn't.
