The lack of a decent screenshot of this scene has forced me to take matters into my own hands.

Unfortunately, the in-game renegade scars become a little too much by this point and even though I get that they're supposed to represent moral corruption and evil and whatnot, there are moments where that's just not the case. For Em here, it's less about moral failing and more about internal struggle - which granted, often externalizes itself in the form of violence. That is why I wanted to give her a softer, broodier look in these scenes where she is letting her guard down and allowing herself to be vulnerable around the person she trusts the most.
