Description
There once was a fat Japanese Bobtail named Tubbs and he had crazy obsession. He was obsessed with balloons. He lives with his elderly owner Mrs. Arthur, her 5 year old granddaughter Julie, and Mrs. Arthur's pet canary and his best friend Twitty. His obsession for balloons started when he was a kitten. He fell off a tree and landed in a balloon cart. He broke his paw and started to cry when a canary found him and carried him to Mrs. Arthur's house. When she saw the little kitten, it reminded her of her collection of Maneki Neko or "Beckoning Cat" from Japan. She took the little kitten in her arms and nursed his paw. She named the little kitten "Tubbs" short for "Tubby" because he was so chubby. The balloons saved his life so he became obsessed with them.

One day when Tubbs was outside in the backyard with Twitty, he saw a cart full of balloons. Sneaking away from Twitty, he jumped into the cart only to be tangled in and the balloons along with him flew away. Twitty was looking up into sky until he saw a colorful light only to see a bunch of balloons and Tubbs tangled in them. Tubbs waved at Twitty and flew with the balloons. Twitty flew back to his cage, grabbed his aviator hat and long red scarf, and flew to save his best friend. Tubbs was enjoying the view down below that he didn't realized that a swarm of pigeons were popping the balloons. When all the balloons popped he fell from the sky and the only thing he had with him was a shiny red balloon holding on his tail. Twitty was flying as fast as he could to save his friend. He caught Tubbs with his tiny claws and carried him to safety. It was very unusual for a very small canary to hold on to a very large, very fat cat. He dropped Tubbs in a cart full of hats. Tubbs jumped out of the cart and Twitty landed on top of Tubbs's head. Tubbs along with the red balloon and Twitty went home and Twitty hoped that Tubbs learned something from this.

Two weeks later, Twitty was getting ready to play with Julie for she invited him and Tubbs to a tea party. He flew to Julie's room only to be shocked what he saw. He saw Tubbs wearing a suit and top hat. The shiny red balloon was still stuck on his very small tail for Julie tied it on there. The balloon didn't shock him; it was what surrounded Tubbs for he found a new obsession…Hats.
