Description
It has been five weeks since Diana’s death and ever since then, Amon kept his distance from everyone. Amon had multiple texts from his friends Dick, Alan, Kamau, Xandro, and Boomer asking him if he wants to talk about it and as usual, Amon ignored them all. On the day of Diana’s funeral, her mother dressed her in a beautiful strapless emerald Greek-like dress with flowers in her hair, and around her neck was a necklace that had green diamonds on it. Amon didn’t show up to the funeral, he knew that Diana’s family wouldn’t want their daughter’s “murderer” there because Dick told them what had happened. Amon did however show up when everyone left the cemetery. Amon looked at her grave and broke down in tears. Amon also knew that Dick was there because he sensed him. Dick told him that Amon has five weeks to tell her family or Dick will have to tell Klaus what happened, which he did.“Arms up, Amon.” Said a small voice that broke Amon’s thoughts and he obeyed and lifted his arms. The voice belonged to Amon’s 10 year old step-brother, Rudy who was adopted by Klaus and lived with him in Salzburg. Rudy became Amon’s step-brother when Amon’s father, Adler divorced Inga, Amon’s mother, and married his secretary. Rudy was different from his family for he was a very skilled kid with the instincts and skills of an assassin and was fascinated by the Von Krieg family. Rudy was ignored and physically abused by every member of his family and they wanted nothing to do with him. Amon’s mother and great-grandfather welcomed Rudy with open arms and was later adopted by Klaus. Rudy wore a green Wehrmacht uniform with black combat boots and a helmet with the Von Krieg crest which was a wolf. Rudy had chestnut hair and blue eyes until it was replace with a midnight blue streak at the end of his hair and indigo eyes which were caused by a Von Krieg family incident.
“Are you ok about the whole…you know?” Rudy asked softly as he was wrapping bandages around Amon’s waist. He shrugged his shoulders and winced in pain. He had a massive beating from Klaus when Amon arrive to the house and headed to Klaus’s study which ended with Amon battered and bruised. He had bruises all over his body, small cuts, a bloody lip, and a black eye. After finishing with the bandaging, Rudy told Amon that he can put his arms down. Despite the pain he was in, Amon managed to but on his shirt and jacket. Rudy left to put away the first aid kit and went to see Klaus. Waiting patiently for Rudy to tell him that his grandfather wanted to see him, Amon saw Rudy come in.
“Herr Von Krieg wants to see you now, Amon.” Rudy said as he returned to the guest room that Amon was in. He got up and followed Rudy to his grandfather’s study. As they entered the room, Amon sat in a chair that faced his grandfather’s desk and Rudy stood right next to him until he was dismissed by Klaus. As usual, Amon had a stoic look on his face which he also had before he got beat when he faced the grand patriarch of the Von Krieg Family, Klaus Von Krieg.
Klaus Von Krieg was the most feared and mentally unstable person of all the Von Kriegs. They say if you look deeply into his eyes, you’ll see how you’re going to die by his hands. As a child, Klaus had to work every day of his life in order to support himself after he murdered his parents. Klaus was in the Schutzstaffel as a teenager in WWII and remained in his homeland of Austria even after the war. Klaus had killed many people and officers, even ones from the Schutzstaffel, which earned him the name “Beast of the Third Reich.” Klaus fell in love with a Jewish woman named Anna, who he protected in his house until he let her go and made it to the US unharmed. He later married and divorced his wife and became a single parent to his only child Elsa, who passed away when Amon was three and is gravely missed. They say that Amon is the spitting image of Klaus, which is actually true. Klaus wore a black suit and walked with a cane. Klaus had platinum blond hair with a purple streak at the end.
“I really don’t know what to say to you Wolfgang, but what were you thinking?” Klaus said. Klaus always called Amon by his first name when he was upset, angry, or both.
“Because of your carelessness, a girl has died by your hands, you can go to jail again but this time, I will not help you.” He said. Klaus had pulled Amon out of every situation he had gotten himself into by with infamous deadly glare that can make the bravest of man fall to his knees.
“Just go home Wolfgang, I can’t even look at you right now.”
Amon got up and left the study without saying a word. Amon waved goodbye to Rudy and went to his apartment in Vienna. When he entered, he was greeted by his Chow, Schnee, who was happy to see him. With a sad smile on his face, Amon petted her creamy fur and went to his room and stayed there the entire time, not wanting to be bothered by anything or anyone. He sat on his bed and looked out to the city as the sun was setting. The sky almost looked like the color of Diana’s hair which made Amon’s heart sink. Amon really didn’t mean to kill her but it had just happened in a blink of an eye. Amon would have moved on with his life and have another girlfriend, but Diana was different, she was strong, brave, loyal, and beautiful; even though she said she was not in everyone’s eyes, but to him, she was beautiful like a diamond. Amon pulled his phone out of his jacket and decided to look at the missed texts that he got from his friends. The texts were all the same, “Are you ok?”, “Do you want to talk about it?”, and so on. One text from Dick had a picture of Diana wearing the clothes she was buried in. Dick wanted Amon to see Diana one last time before she was gone forever. She looked like a beautiful goddess of the hunt in the dress she was buried in. Amon wished that he could turn back the hands of time and stop himself from killing this beautiful huntress, but he can’t. As he looked up to see the city, night had already fallen in Vienna. Amon got up from his bed and left his room. As he walked to his living room, he saw Schnee fast asleep on the couch. Amon smiled at his dog, walked to the door and left without waking her up. When he left his apartment, Amon walked all the way to the woods where it all happened.
