Description
What started as a normal night for Kristin turned into a night of mystery, fantasy, and true love. It all started in a celebration party held in a ballroom near a lake. The party was for her ex-boyfriend Rick, who was getting married to a rich and snobby woman. Kristin was a photographer and she was hired to take pictures of the soon to be married couple. She really didn’t want to be there because her ex promised to marry her but, he changed his mind when he saw Lola. Lola was beautiful, vain, and rich. She had long, flowing hair that was made of gold, sapphire like eyes and wore designer clothes. Tonight, she was wearing a long fire truck red dress. Kristin on the other hand, was pretty, creative, and has a good soul. She had brown hair that was always in a ponytail and had these indigo eyes that were like hypnotic. She wore a blue sweater and cargo pants with navy blue converse. Even though she was pretty, she wasn’t up there with Lola in Rick’s book. After eating a big meal, Kristin stepped outside to clear her head. She looked up to the see the bright, silver moon illuminating the night sky. For some weird reason, she always felt better when the moon was out and she didn’t know why. Sometimes she wished on the moon than a shooting star. She was about to make a wish when she heard screaming from the ballroom and ran to see what was happening. When she entered the ballroom, she saw a swarm of shadow-like beasts destroying everything. It was like they were looking for something that they lost. She looked around and saw that was gone expect for her ex and his fiancée being terrified by the shadow beasts. Normally she would help people in need, but do to the fact it was her ex and his fiancée, there was no chance, but still she had to. She distracted the beasts enough for Rick and Lola to run. After Rick and Lola ran to safety, Kristin bolted out of the ballroom and ran into a forest nearby. She stopped to catch her breath behind a tall oak tree. She wondered what the beasts were looking for when she spotted something on the ground. She picked it up and saw that it was a choker necklace. The choker was violet with silver thread woven onto it which made a beautiful design. Hanging on the choker, was a moonstone carved into a crescent moon. She never had seen something that was truly a work of art. She believed that this was what the beasts were looking for. She put the choker in her pocket and headed back. As she was about to turn back, she saw something bright and turned to see a floating ball of yellow light. It felt like she was under a spell because she ran after it into the dark night.
Somewhere deep in the dark, Kristin heard the beasts howling but she was under the spell of the yellow light. The light then stopped in a clearing in the middle of the forest and disappeared. Kristin was released for the spell and looked around for the yellow light but, it was nowhere to be found. As she was about to turn back, she felt a warm hand grasp her hand. She turned around and saw a hooded figure. The figure took off the hood of the cloak to reveal a handsome man. He was pale like the moon, had silver hair, and his eyes were a beautiful shade of amethyst. He wore a military uniform that was black and violet. He told Kristin that his name was Vasyl and that he was a prince of shadows. He also then told her that the beasts were his servants and that both he and them were looking for something that they lost. When Kristin heard this, she pulled out the choker from her pocket and showed it to him. When Vasyl saw the choker, he was delighted, thanks her, and puts the choker on her. He took one good look at her, and saw that she was beautiful with it on her. He told her that the choker was meant for his true love and that Kristin was now his true love. Vasyl asked her if she would be his bride, which she said yes.
With that being said, Vasyl cupped her face and kissed her lips. As they kissed, a shadow like mist that shined like the moon appears and surrounds them. As the mist cleared, Kristin saw that she was no longer wearing her normal clothes, instead she wore a silver dress with violet thread woven on it with the same design as the choker. Her hair was loose and had a moonflower on it. She told Vasyl that her wish came true. Vasyl asked what her wish was and she replied that her wish was to find happiness and true love. Vasyl agreed that her wish came true and kissed her again. As they did, their bodies transfigured into shadow and moon dust and flowed up into the night. Legend has it, that if someone saw the yellow light, they are bound to have eternal happiness and love.
