The lyrics have Kikyou's picture all over them...so I finally decided to draw her...
I really like how this came out...and I think it's one of my best pictures yet.

You are right about Sara's lyrics and the song being beautiful. I actually have this CD ((stumbling towards extacy)) and I couldn't agree more on how they fit Kikyo.
I love the picture and the looks on the characters faces. Although I dislike Kikyo, this picture makes is so I can't help but feel bad for her...Well done!

I love that song...this is really beautifully done, it has a soft mood and is wonderfully colored. I really love how you did his hair. The style of the profiles is really adorable, I love the subtle differences in their faces. My only critique would be that the fingers on her right hand go too far into the palm by a bit.

SLKSDJFKJSDFBLAH. o__o; This looks so amazing. The coloring looks totally gorgeous! Even more than that! I'm in love with Kikyou's hair.. and she has an angelic look- I think it's a nice idea. She goes with the song so much; and by the way, I just love the song! 
P.S. You did a fine job fixing Kikyou's hand (from the sketch)! I think you should make the shading there a little softer, though. The way it is now makes it a little difficult to see her whole hand clearly.

i dunno why you all hate her, she's a deeply tragic character. i feel a great amount of pity for kikyo, she's often a subject of my art, though i very rarely draw couples, i've never draw her with inuyasha... and of course, i support inuyasha and kagome 1 million times more than kikyo. But everyone knows he won't pick kikyo, surely..... his place is in the world of the living with kagome, and he knows that
anyway.... Nillia... never cease to amaze me girl. i dunno why you say adding this pic lowers your chances of winning. cos you'll win hands down :S

me: 'um.... you're gonna come into possesion of an evil jewel, you fall in love with a half-demon who's part dog, another demon tricks you, and you die, thinking he one you loved slaughtered you for the evil jewel.
later, another demon plucks you from hell and brings you to life, only to find, your love is now with another woman, who, incidentally, is you re-incarnated, but hey, she's not a patch on your beauty and power, actually, that just makes it worse. Your soul cannot forgive him, so you loathe him and love him, waiting to kill the one who pitted you against each other, so finally you can rest in peace.

Did you read the new chapter, 276? It was Kikyou-centric and though admittingly she isn't my favorite character, I have a begruding affection for her. I know about the hang ups Inuyasha has over her (it's been less than a year that he was woken up, right?), but their interaction is still far from purely platonic, in my opinion. This isn't making any sense...

While I'll always be a kagome/inuyasha fangirl, this is a very sweet, very lovely picture ^_^ Their expressions, their clothes..nicely done!

Very nicely done. Composition is very good, it really pulls the eye to their faces. The only thing is that it seems a little stiff, somehow, and the light seems off. But then, with that many different light sources, and they're all at different angles and the blue tones... very tough to tell. The stiffness... hm. I think it's the fact that everything else is so curved, and then there they are, and there's a lot of straight lines to them... Inuyasha's hair is lifted straight back, the clothing hangs in (mostly) straight lines, etc. Eh, I don't know. It's very good, but it's not quite right, and I can't tell what exactly it is that has me thinking that it could be better.
...don't you hate it when I take you at your word about the advanced critique? I probably ought to take advantage of that option myself. It certainly improved my Fluffy pic.
