Hi everyone, this is something I finished around end of last year.

It's another step on the journey of digital oil. Synthesizing a few little things I learned this past few weeks of studying oil painting masters in this piece, it's mostly, observational from photo, with a little bit of invention, with the proportions and composition.
I was inspired by this photo because of the resolve in her face. It's almost new year and many people make resolutions. I haven't bothered with them often, and a few times I remember doing so, I don't think I followed up on it.

But since this last year, I've made this resolution every day for the last year, and it couldn't have been easier than resolving to breath. I think it's because this is the right kind of resolve, not a selfish one, a zero-sum game, where for one to gain, others must lose. This is one that is for the benefit of all.
It is this: "I resolve not to intentionally harm any living beings. To only feel kindness towards all living beings, myself and others alike."
If you're looking for a new year's resolution, may I recommend this one?
