Here is the sixteenth drawing for Sonic's upcoming 30th Anniversary. This here is a Shellcracker, a crab-like Badnik that was created by Dr. Eggman that debuted in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and would later on make appearances in later games like Sonic Pocket Adventure and Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1.

The Shellcrackers can be found in levels like Metropolis Zone in Sonic 2, Gigantic Angel Zone in Sonic Pocket Adventure and Mad Gear Zone in Sonic 4. Their main ability is punching the player by extending their spiked claws whenever you get close to it.
