For some reason I find her in the manga much stronger. She really shows off with her dancing skills and makes Johnny fall on his knees and give up. His face shows absolute defeat and he knows that he can't take her on. Anzu even took her shoes off which shows that she was really serious. In all honesty, those shoes she was wearing is nothing you would wear in a fast dancing competition which shows that the mangaka made sure to make the reader understand that Anzu is on her way to become a professional. Anzu wouldn't dance with platform shoes, because you could break your neck if you just make one wrong step. It#s way to dangerous to wear such shoes in a competition.

Anime Anzu seems happy and cute. Dancing there wasn't really bothering her or made her loose her breath. It's just something she does all the time. She is kind of portrayed as the sweet girl with high spirits and I can't stop looking at her broken leg, her missing toes and her squinting eye... high quality animation in YGO. *clap*

Manga Anzu is exhausted and sweating. She put her whole self into this and would even glare down to his opponent to scare him off and make sure that he accepts her. She seems like a much more stronger and braver person here. Moreover we have even details on the platform she is standing, so we can also see that the mangaka took extra time to look up references and make the game platform look more realistic.

Comparing these two scenes made me realize how much thought Takahashi put into his manga and that even the smallest details (like her shoes) make such a difference. Thanks for sharing this with us. Once again, I realized how cool the manga is. ♥
