Description What happens when Nin has a problem to solve and too much time to solve it with.

I never posted this when I actually made it about a month and a half ago (late April 2018), but I'd finally caved in to my long-held desire to just go and make myself a prop sword for art ref purposes because I draw a ton of them anyways and was sick of referencing (1) inaccurate pics that I may still change the pose of anyways or (2) Figmas with non-articulating fingers. Cosplay swords are too expensive and I only need a basic one to reference anyways XD

The new sword is made of wood (a cheap af Home Depot ruler + several wooden pencils to thicken the hilt), fabric (for using up my excess fabric from past projects design + to protect myself from splinters), and various odds and ends (e.g. floral wire, keychain rings, random shiny string, and hot glue). Everything here was made by hand (as in, I don't even have a sewing machine) and the whole process took about... 4 hours? I'm quite proud of it because it's durable (MUCH better than the old sword--more on that below) and customizable with three different handguard positions, so I can model more varieties of sword with one prop. Whether I can design fancy crossguards on my own has yet to be determined, since I've only specifically used this sword ref for one pic so far (which has yet to be posted)...

This was actually the second prop sword I've ever made--the original sword was made way back in 2013 out of cardboard and foil for a costume birthday party (in which I decided I could be a lady white knight if I simply wore a white tunic top and belted that foil sword to my clothes orz), but the crossguard was to heavy and the sword itself so flimsy that I relegated it to a space on my wall.
