So this is my take on a mermaid AU!
In this Au mermaids are quite rare due to over hunting, Dark is one of the many mermaids who end up heavily affected by it as he was shot with a fishing harpoon that was fired from a large fishing boat. Eventually he became too weak to swim and washed up on shore. He laid there for a long time bleeding out and becoming more and more tired and eventually a pink haired human stumbled across him and manages to save him by bringing him to his house and patching him up ((After Dark is fully recovered he is set free.)) However, Dark could swear he could see pink and black scales along the man’s spine when he’d turn around and bend over causing his shirt to lift up some.
Not important edit: Rest in piece two of my large markers that survived just long enough for the sand and the ocean to be done before drying out/running out of ink completely.
