Ain't that a bit of a sad title? XD It's supposed to be seeing is how this pretty scene took place well over 500 years ago.

Anyways, here we have my unnaturally-colored lions. Thanks to April for helping me pick their colors XD

The big guy is Cobar and the lovely lady is Sumalee. I've gotta big nifty story plotting for these two.

By the way, congrats to to being the first one to ever draw and color Cobar in what she viewed him as. has second place for her drawing of him, and then with her headshot of him XD I had the worst time thinking up how he should look. I finally drew him up XD Huzzah. April, Cari, and Joanie all like his design. Especially you, April XD

April was the first to draw Sumalee sortakinda XD She drew a headshot of how her hair could look. I liked it so here it is, sorta XD I'll have another drawing of her soon enough. Cari's poking me for a certain one << >> Also, April requested Sumalee's dress be of simple design with giraffe prints, so here ya go XD

Anyways, bit of info for these two:

Name: Cobar

Name Origin: Aboriginal

Name Meaning: Burnt Earth

Age: In this drawing he's about 24 *He's vamped at age 35*

Height: 6'5 *toldya he's a big guy*

Species: Lion gone vampire

Nationality/Culture: N/A *aka I dunno yet XD*

Occupation:
Back then-N/A *again I don't know*
Nowadays-N/A *you get the idea now that if it's N/A I ain't thought it up yet XD*

Family: Sumalee (wife, now deceased) Aden (son, who he made into a vampire)

Strengths: Typical vampire powers with something special I added on: October is when a vampire is strongest because that's considered the 'dark' month when evil is at it's peak. Patience (sometimes) Not easily angered (unless you push the right buttons) Intelligent (500 years of being around has made him a fairly smart SoB) He's also rather manipulative

Weakesses: Typical vampire weaknesses with something special I added on: December is when a vampire is weakest because that's the 'holy' and 'good' month with the religous holidays when good is at it's peak. He's rather arrogant when he's got the upper hand (or at least thinks he does)

Likes: Aden (obviously), having the upper hand, being right, reading, and October for obvious reasons

Dislikes: When his charges (the people he's vamped) are disobedient, not having the upper hand in a situation, Duvessa (his master...or should I say mistress? XD) and December for obvious reasons

Personality: When he was mortal he was actually a swell guy XD He was kind, caring, loyal, and very loving to those he cared for and was an all around nice guy to people. Nowadays he's an asshole who thinks mortals are pathetic, worthless, ignorant weaklings. He'll do pretty much whatever it takes to get his way and enjoys playing with peoples' heads.

Now for his lovely wife

Name Origin: Thai

Name Meaning: Beautiful Flower

Age: Here's she's around 22 *but dies at 33*

Height: 5'0 *she's a wee thing XD*

Species: Lioness

Nationality/Culture: NA *prolly the same as Cobar*

Occupation: N/A *she prolly didn't have one, though*

Family: Cobar (husband) Aden (son)

Strengths: Smart, agile, can reason well, very understanding and XD she was a pretty good cook

Weaknesses: Lacking physical strength, her weak heart

Likes: Sunsets, flowers, kids, spending time with loved ones

Dislikes: Really just her heart condition. She doesn't really hate anyone or anything.

Personality: Very outgoing even if her heart says otherwise. She was a kind, gentle, and loving to everyone. Never really became upset or angry with anyone.

Their backgrounds I'm writing on one paragraph because I don't have an individual past for Sumalee yet.

Bascially a long time ago Cobar and Sumalee we're a lovely happy couple. Sumalee was never a very strong person in body, but make up for it in spirit. Cobar didn't care that she wasn't the most healthy person around. They met and married a couple years later. They tried to have kids, but after so long didn't believe they'd have any. Then eleven years later Sumalee gets pregnant and all is well. One night Cobar is out and about and meets up with Duvessa and some way or another she vamps him. I haven't gotten that worked out yet. Eventually he gets home and confesses to Sumalee about what happened to him. Now, Sumalee, being the angel she is didn't care about that. He was still her loving husband even if he had changed into a blood thirsty creature of the night *BRICKED*

A few months later Sumalee gives birth to their son, Aden. Alas the effort was too much on her weak heart and she slowly slipped away. Cobar believed she had fallen asleep. Alas that wasn't the case. He still blames himself to this day for her death. Had he known she was dying he woulda vamped her. But, I doubt she woulda wanted to be a vampire so it's all good, right? *SHOT* So now it's just him and Aden. Unfortunately, Aden inherited Sumalee's sickness only worse. At age nine he was going to be taken away from Cobar as well. Not wishing for that to happen Cobar vamped Aden to save him from death...in a matter of speaking.

And there you have it folks. The basics of these two. I'll have Aden up as soon as I draw and color him. It shouldn't take me too long since I already know what he's gonna look like.

No matter what anyone says or does April is Cobar's #1 fangirl XD Joanie's also become rather fond of him. Cari's a bigger fan of Sumalee, I believe XD

As for the drawing itself I love how it came out XD Cobar and Sumalee look al happy and stuff. And that post, while it took me hours to complete turned out better'n I hoped XD *luffs my artist manniquins * Cobar's hands are a lil stiff, but hands suck I had to use the pen tool to make Sumalee's pinky finger because in the drawing it didn't look like it could be visible, but thanks to the finer and smoother lines of the pen tool it could be visible so that was just oh-so fun to do.

I think my favorite part outta this is Sumalee's eye o-0 I have no freakin idea why, I just find myself look at that more then the rest of the drawing. I also like how her pose came out, her left leg is a little wonkey, but oh well. I had to practually draw her around Cobar so that wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but I did it! *FLAIL* And as much as I hated the thought of making her white I did anyways, it's just not enjoyable to highlight in my opinion because you really CAN'T highlight it. I was thinking of making her white and then April's suggestion make it offical XD. She kinda reminds me of a unicorn with her coloring. Oh well, she turned out better'n I hoped and she's just so pretteh XD Cobar came out better then expected as well, considering all my failed attempts to draw him because of that damned mane XD I looked up how other people drew anthro lions and made up my own little design. He has neon green in his chest poof << *snicker*

Sumalee's shoes are inspired by April's request to see her in sandels and this really awesome design I found on the internet XD They're some awesome looking "Earth Shoes" that I wanna get someday because they look so cool

And, finally, the background. Aren't y'all proud of me? I actually made a decent background If I had thought of it BEFORE I started to CG it I woulda drawn in the grass instead of this <<; Oh well, I like how I shaded it. I also like the background. They're watching the sunset and the stars are starting to appear XD woot

Anyways, enough of my rambling XD If anyone actually read this whole thing I'm very proud of you and love you very much
