hdr is an image that consists of 3 images taken in diferent exposure times then merged together, hdr enables you to take pictures with high light difference....I gues you used a filter then

Very good scene, well capturated and composed.
At first sight it may look like an HDR that is: A mix of 3 (or more) different exposures of the same image, that... convined together gives a very more vivid an dramatic look, because thanks to the under exposed and over exposed data on this, gives a brighter and detailed highlights and a clear shadows, plus a big boost to the contrast... HDR is kinda cool if some knows how to do it without an abuse of digital treatment. (and you'll be able to have an image with different lighting sutuations without black or white useless data)
Btw.. to make HDR's you'll need a DSLR with auto bracketing... on my experience my nikon D40 doesn't have the auto bracketing so, I have to make it manually and is very difficult to get the 3 shoots faster enough to have the same scene (clouds and etcetera) and you'll need a tripod.

You don't post often, but when you do... wow!
Great capture, my friend!
I only wish I had your self-control, so I could only post my very best images, as you do. But I do enjoy posting lots, hehe!
