Well, you should take many shots, when you found beautiful snowflake, because the focusing on just right place is very hard, i think
And another, what I sometimes use :
To catching beautiful snowflakes, I left my old gloves outside for about 5-10 minutes, when it was snowing. Then I check if there's good, big snowflakes on my gloves

I think wool could be nice because of little hairs slowing and catching snow flakes without breaking them. I will try, hopefully it will snow more even thought my friends will be sad because they are tired of it
