Description A *.max file (3ds version >=2009 required, no plugin required for viewport mat) and how to setup a DirectX preview material in max viewport (realtime reflection, bump, normal, etc...).

I setup a short animation for it in *.max file, click play button in anim toolbar and you'll see how preview dx material looks like.

(For beginner only). In material editor, each material properties panel has got a DirectX tab that you maybe not aware of, or just got nothing to do with it. Let's try n see it'd be better compare regular flat preview.

very good pal, and yes is dificult to work with direct X materials when you got to simulate transparency and shadows and etc. Tis is good to work for a videogame develop. I have worked with Ogre before, its like the same way that direct X but it's for commercial use.
