This is almost reminiscent of that one anime I watched. If I remember it correctly it was called Beserk and one of the main characters was the leader of the white hawks or something who sold his soul (and the rest of his party) to demons. This image brings it to mind, though I think the subject matter appears more feminine than masculine.
