When I saw the title, I was intrigued. When I saw the image at first I was confused. Really this title is quite literal, but I think that many would think of the title as being a fairy tale. I liked your take on the photo, and the name you gave it.
As far as photography, you used some very good photographic elements. One thing you might want to try is different placement of your subject. This subject is a bull's eye in this photograph. Perhaps using the rule of thirds, and off setting the subject might make for an even more interesting photograph.
The piece you have here is truly wonderful, and really the lighting is the only thing I would caution you on. Other than that, just playing around with the subject placement for a more interesting shot. I love your originality here though. Great Job! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Thank you so much for the critique, Mandi ~!
and also thanks for the tips on how to improve my pictures - I'll definitely try to be more aware of the placement of my subjects during my next shootings ~

It was still a really good photo, but it could add some spice. I'm happy to help to!

The name Damsel in Distress caught my eye and got me interested but once I seen the full view image I was in love. The contrast and the sharpness of the detail is inspiring. I myself have just started experimenting with my camera and I can be honest and say that your image inspires me to improve. The zoom and focus is excellent allowing the viewer to get "the bigger picture" in a way.
When actually coming to critique the image I found it hard as all I could say in my head was WOW but I didn't want it to sound to mushy. However as an inexperienced photographer I can't think of how to improve on this image as I think you have really done it justice!

~ Wow, thank you so very much for taking the time to write this critique, Alexis ~! It really means a lot to me, and I'm very glad you like the picture..!
You should know that I also consider myself a pretty inexperienced (amateur) photographer so it's always nice to know what other people think of your works. ;]
Once again thank you ~!

That would be nice, even though I'd never expect such a thing to actually happen.
