they're NOT FURRIES! I just wanted to start by saying that... I'm not a furry or part of the furry fandom, I draw ANTHRO characters. There's a difference people!anyway, these are two of my characters; Spike (the wolf) and Sam (the golden retriver). They're from a graphic novel I'm working on.
This scene is just one of Sam's innocent little fantasies. You see, he's secretly in love with his best friend Spike but dares not tell him, because he's afraid of his own emotions and also afraid of how Spike might react (Spike tends to react violently to certain things).
It's a complicated story... and it's not just about Sam's crush. That's just a small part of it.
I was really nervous about submitting this picture. I've had it lying around for years and finally decided to color it yesterday. But I was nervous because of the slightly homosexual content, and I'm pretty sure some of you out there might react negative to it..
But I support homosexuality - or rather; I support love! So I don't really care much what you think. I just hope some of you tolerant people will like this picture somewhat..
That's all I had to say right now.

1. god you're the first person I've met who agrees that furries aren't anthros! I draw anthros too and I HATE it when people are like 'wtf furries?'

Adorable! I love their expressions. The hand looks extremely good to! And yes, I, to, support love in all forms, man/woman, man/man, Woman/woman, I don't care, as long as one loves and is kind, everything's like it should be^^
Oh, and about that furry fandom thing, I agree, I sometimes draw art, which could easily be catogorized as "furry" But if I'm not a part of the fandom, I'm not a furry! It's that easy, I am an anthropomorphic artist, n that's it^^ Some furrys are so obnoxious about this...

Yep, there's a difference. Maybe not in art, but in mentality. I draw anthro art which looks very "furry", though, I don't want to be labled "furry", not for a unliking of the fandom, but beacuse I don't want to put a label on myself. I draw other things but anthro too. And there is a special kind of athmosphere in the furry fandom and around the forums.

Exactly what difference between furry and anthro are you talking about? Furry is just a slang for anthro, which in turn is a short term for anthropomorfic characters, which basically translates to "human shaped characters".
I think you confuse furry with yiff, which is an offshoot from anthropomorfic art. Drawing furries doesn't mean you draw yiff, just like drawing people doesn't mean you draw people having sex.

From my experience the furry fandom is nearly all hug loving people.
It's OK if you don't want to label yourself as a furry. There are a lot of prejudgments against furries after all. We all love you anyway :3
