Description
Balto, his brother (left), and sister (right) question their father as to why they have to leave their mom. Once they are fully weaned, they leave town and join their father's pack. Their mother agrees to this for their safety. However, Balto is unhappy with this arrangement and eventually returns to Nome.

I do have ideas for how wolf hybrid pups would be allowed to stay in town with their mother. In my head cannon, Ikiaq's owner is a kind man. He doesn't want the wolves, but is willing to keep them until he can find a solution. However, Toklo intervenes and takes them away one night. The man believes they have simply run away and leaves it at that.

I love creating stories for established characters. It's actually a lot of fun! In fact, I'm already working on another picture. That will probably be out fairly soon.
