A picture I took trying to capture the confused emotions I was having after being run off the road. On one hand, I would be compensated for the car. On the other, there was self-doubt (could I have done something different? Was there a way to recover from the spin?) and dread (would I even have a car?).

January 9th I was out getting cheese for a pizza and had to evade a car coming around a corner halfway in my lane. The sudden movement on the first snow of winter had me sideways in seconds, and I went backwards into the ditch. The car was banged up pretty bad.

So all I was feeling afterward, I tried to convey here. Yes, there's no snow on the ground. We had a late winter (and it just so happened that the 9th was the only day it snowed that week).
