He was made privy of James Halliday's final invention the OASIS Neural network, which promised to make his game ever more immersive... and addictive. Though young Wade could have released the ONI then and there (Which oh don't know, could have led into some incoherent random events plot) he decided to wait to hear Samantha's opinion on the matter. She talked him into waiting until the software was properly tested and the two of them fell into a long and healthy relationship. Under Samantha guidance Watts used his vast fortune and influence to enter the public sphere and champion several humanitarian causes. In 2048 Watts became the youngest person to be elected President of The United States of America and two years later in on July 4th 2050 successfully united his nation with Samantha's homeland of Canada, founding the North American Union.

In the seven years since the NAU's founding the first couple have keep busy. In addition to official state business Samantha continues to run her charity the Atr3mis foundation while Wade has overseen the construction of the Vonnegut, a sublight speed sleeper interstellar vessel slowly taking shape in geostationary orbit.

More recently the president has just successfully seen through another passion project, an OASIS hosted revival of the greatest contest before Halliday’s Hunt, Total Drama. Total Drama Endless has been a mass success with the tournament finally granting Watts the opportunity after 11 years to publicly debut a properly tested iteration of the ONI rig.

The life Wade and Samantha share by 2057 in the canon of Endless isn’t by any means perfect, but they have grown more together as people than they did apart in the canon of Ready Player Two, and are by and large very happy for it. However, by growing more competent in life, the two of them, particularly Wade has become far more able to enact his own personal vison on his nation, and the world at large.
