As everyone following the story knows by now recently on Total Drama Endless we started swapping out the four real celebrities for Original characters. Of the four the most dynamic character was Tyler the Creator, now shedding his real world connections to become the similar yet distinct Markus Obasi. Stage Name, Marked Improvement.

In the new lore Markus Obasi was born on July 25th 2005 in Ladera Heights, California, where is family lived briefly before moving to San Bernardino. Though he had a clean upbringing Markus emerged onto the West Coast rap scene in the late 2020s with a bad attitude, causing uproar over his often controversial and politically charged lyrics. He was banned from the United Arab Emirates in 2025, Germany in 2026 and Twitter in 2028. But while his critics derided his vulgarities, his fans argued he keep things real. And he was deeply respect for his activism. Early in his career he was taken under the wing by fellow rapper Jamie Velociraptor, soon being inducted in his rap group Bad Future Jackal Patch Kill Everything along with other unique characters such as Fanny Pack and The Earl.
Keeping his youthful spirit for the new three decades thanks to telomerase treatments Markus's modern albums are no longer as successful as they once were, with critics and fans alike lamenting his lack of growth as an artist. All the same, Markus's early is still held in high regards, and many young artists of the subsequent generation such as Jaxson King cite him as an inspiration. Markus is a second generation American. His mother and father were immigrants from South Africa and Nigeria respectively.

For his appearance I referenced a fair amount of modern hip hop artists but the two Markus ended up taking the most from were Vince Staples and Lil Nas X. In episode seven Tyler originally switched into a look inspired by his Igor stage persona, and I wanted to keep something similar with Markus. The Pink outfit and blonde wig make him a nice match with Peach. Markus's version of the look came from a denim disco suit I stumbled across while getting references for Conner. I still haven't made up my mind about his wig.
