Anyway I like the idea of the carnivorous plant floating in the air!

I'm not sure what it's about but my interpretation is, that "love makes blind" - the dangerous reality behind it. Love can take you anywhere and you can't see were in particular... Higher and higher and eventually too high... (?)
Maybe I'm wrong because you originally had something other in mind but this (cute 
I love pictures that aren't just beautiful to look at but also have a meaning behind them and make you think. I also like the way you draw them - somewhat in a cute and simple style but with such nice and fitting colors and that structure in the background.

The plant means that love can strike everyone, even who doesn't seem meant for love. It's love that rule us, not the opposit.
Also, the plant symbolize the dangerous side of love.

Out of interest, do you draw the pictures and then add a texture on the computer or is it all tradtional stuff.

I think sometimes it's better putting the texture on in photoshop.
Traditional pieces can lose some of the textures you put on them otherwise. Not all the time, but sometimes.
