I actually didn't recieve the information via internet. I am subscribed to several gaming magazines, and they tend to be a really good place to find this stuff. However, if you want, I can search the web to see if I can't come up with Fierce Deity Link's background story. I'm sure someone would've had the insight to slap it online.

... Sweet. You know, Nintendo recently released a bit more information on Fierce Deity Link. Apparently the Fierce Deity was Termina's version of Link, and was very evil. Termina's version of Ganondorf, however, was a good guy. Ironic, no? However, I guess it isn't surprising, seeing as how Termina is quite literally a mirror of Hyrule in some ways. Now, as I was saying. That double helix sword wielded by Fierce Deity Link is the dark version of the Master Sword. In any case, the good Ganondorf defeated the evil Link and sealed him away in a mask. Hence, the Fierce Deity's mask. It is also written that when using this mask's power, Link cannot remember all he did during the time it is worn.
