Description
Pinjara is a 50 year old saltwater crocodile found in far north queensland. Washed into a dam at a cattle station, locals ecame aware of Pinjara when he attacked, killed and consumed a prized bull valued at $10,000 AUD. Thankfully, the people finding him were kind enough to have him relocated to a breeding farm where he remained with three females for 20 years until he grew too large to be kept with the smaller females. He was kept for some time, but proved to be too dangerous to the other males, routinely getting into fights with them, so he was shipped down to Melbourne to live in his own private habitat. At the time of his moving in 2013, Pinjara was 5 metres long and weighed 750kg, but still has another 50 or 60 years in him, so who knows how large he will grow.
