As the Overseer of the Vault, it was her responsibility to lead by example and so she volunteered to carry all the specimens to full term, no matter how uncomfortable it got.

After just 3 months, Emily's belly looked like it was full-term. She felt her belly growing every day, expanding tight against her suit which was in danger of bursting her front zip and ripping the seams.

Her belly would never stop growing until it was all over, she thought, just to start the cycle again.
