Description
She sees red. Then black; red, red. Ants aflame making love beneath her skin. Bumps, bruises, but mostly bumps. Bumps everywhere. Oh, the heat. The heat. Can’t stop shaking. Frail like a teardrop of the last petal or a leaf in a storm; shaking, shaking. Make it stop. She screams but only whispers escape; they tiptoe like it’s a game and she has lost.
She falls; she is so heavy, heavy like atmosphere.
She falls further. Black, black, red…black. This doesn’t feel real, but the pain! She is being compressed onto a single head of a pin and suddenly her bed is a river and her head bangs against walls that she can’t see, helpless.
And when she attempts breath her lungs are lead and her vision is constricted. Tiny colorful snakes across her eyelids. Eyelids fluttering just like her whole body is trembling like a one-winged butterfly in the rain. Can’t. Stop. Trembling….
Eyes shut: black, black.
