Because ever since the start of Sasuke VS Itachi fight, Zetsu's become one of those annoying sports commentators...A regular John Madden, ain't he?
EDIT: Sweet Jebus, front page again? And here I thought it'd be impossible because of the new popularity system.

I vote that Luna Lovegood commentates the Uchiha fight. She may be a terrible commentator, but the comic relief would distract us from Sasuke's Marysueishness.

Lee Jordan would also be a good commentator--I loved how she occasionally screamed profanities at the opposing team during her commentaries.

It seems like the Uchiha brother's failed to notice Zetsu... ha! Maybe that means both their sharingans (and the other eye thing, I forget what it's called) are getting weaker... Sasuke has got to have a fault right? He can't get away from this fight "unharmed". I mean... for a world of ninjas, he seems rather unrealistic. My opinion though. Completely hilarious picture by the way!

The black-side is always explaining things to the other side, and at least we get a break from the action.
He's an "Expander"
Something that derives from the plot, and expands archs. To me, he's only expanding the fight, and giving us less of a fight to see per chapter!
Well, he's next on the Naruto gang hit list.

DROP THE LEAVES FOR ZEH SHIRT, EH? Dude, just start doing it... I seriously am wondering wtf everyone else is doing. Kishimoto needs to have either a.) something significant happen, or b.) go back to someone else. The moves are interesting, yes, but no one looks like they're going to die.

To be honest, Zetsu hasn't really ever done anything but commentate and eat dead people.

Hmmm...I have to admit, Zetsu's role is becoming peculiar. He seems to serve as the main "hole-filler" for the plot. It's also quite an interesting point that the only thing he has done so far is clean up carcass and make poignant remarks about blatantly obvious situations. At this mark, I'm expecting the whole series to wrap up without Zetsu ever getting involved in the story; maybe when all the fighting clears up, he'll just walk into the sunset, eating corpses intermittently.

You're right! I vaguely remember that. Who knows? Maybe there is some significance in the order of character introduction. Still, until then, Zetsu seems to me more like a lapdog than an insidious eye, which is the latter that is probably the purposeful intimation.
