I don't know if you did it on purpose, but I love how the sketch and the part with more depth (shadows and highlights) are blended together. This is very inspiring. In hope you meant to shade and color the whole piece, as I'm looking forward to the result. I added you to my deviantwatch so I don't miss a thing!

man the tablet i had for 9 years was the i2, and since it had no buttons, i got used to resting my left elbow on the border of the tablet. i keep trying to do that now and i push all the buttons with my elbow XD all this random stuff starts happening on the screen and i go WTF.... oh right. no more elbow.

well i was used to the i2 which has a very smooth drawing surface. i was forced to have much more control, then, to do details and small things on the screen. this i4 feels so much more textured and grippy in comparison... it feels like it has give, instead of being hard and flat. maybe i'm just imagining things, but it's very cool ^^

Yeah, I had a Wacom Graphire looong ago and the surface was horrible... i4 is a godsend in comparison, especially with the textured nibs ^^

when i was in college i drew this guy all the time. He had longer limbs and body then, which i'm still trying to re-capture. I'm so used to a more "normal", compact anatomy now.
but yeah... long fluffy tail, thumbs on his feets.. actually i bet i could find pictures of him on my old website
