Holy hell this one came out CUTE!

I had everything done but the background yesterday. I didn't wanna rush that. I was so happy with how the girl and dog looked-- especially because I so rarely draw animals, but damned if that's not a cute, playful doggy. Yes he is, YES HE IS! Oh I love you so much! GOOD PUPPY!!!!!! So I didn't wanna rush the background when I didn't know what I wanted for it because I didn't want to blow that when everything else came out perfect.

But I woke up in the middle of the night, couldn't get back to sleep. Came out to my desk, put on a podcast, sparked a bowl and just started with the sky and clouds and went from the here. And within about two hours I had something I liked and finished it. Reminds me a lot of Lake Michigan with the big dunes covered in beach grass except for a few pathways, etc. I decided pretty early on I wanted that kind of beach setting.

I've been in such a shitty mood the last week or so, it was nice to make something so sunny and colorful and cheery. I had this idea about a year ago when I saw a similar rainbow-striped little one-piece like that. And I just heaped on the cuteness from there. The hat, the heart-shaped glasses, the playful, happy dog.

But I also have her being a bit of a tease with that popsicle. Which never did anything for ME, but it's still cute and gives me something to do with her hands and mouth... this is sounding dirty and I don't mean for it to.
