HELP! I need a title for this one! The one I put there now is just a placeholder, and may just stay the title if I can't come up with anything better.

I found all these old pinups on a certain dark corner of the internet whose name is a terrible curse when uttered in the common tongue (it rhymes with "wild boar chan"). I loved the poses and the figures that all the women had, and I ended up saving about 100 of them to my computer, knowing I may want to pay homage (read: steal the pose), some day.

And that day has come! I really wish I had a link to the original pinup, because it's a type of sexy we just don't see enough today.

What really sold me on it was the setting I could create. I thought instead of just using the pose, I'd set it in that time period as well. Maybe a LITTLE later, I had around 1962 in mind when I designed the den.

And as much fun as the girl was to make, I had just as much fun making the den, with that great old turntable there, and that pole lamp, and the shag carpeting, and that really sweet wallpaper design! I love that wallpaper!

As for the girl, I gave her a school sweater because it just seemed to fit! The colors and the letter were a pretty easy choice, I just went with MY old high school. And since I used the words "high school", I should probably cover my ass right now and say she's either a senior and already 18, OR she's a recent graduate and showing pride in her former school. Either way, of age.

And be sure to full-view! This one is higher resolution than my past stuff. I got a new computer a couple last month, and I like to use these as my desktop pictures, so it's at 1600x900 now instead of the old 1024x768. I can't say for sure that ALL my pictures will be this size, because I can picture times when it might be too hard or impractical to make such a wide drawing.
