This is one of the results of messing with a unfamiliar paint proggie (Pixia). I was trying for a carved-into-stone look, so I tried to make the white areas around the (scanned) lineart transparent. I hit reverse at one point and fell in love with the results.

The font around the sides is the Nug-Soth alphabet (from [link] ). And if you know how to read this alphabet, you'll know what the writing says. >:>.
